About the Owners

Thanks for finding us! We launched our web site twelve years after we opened our doors for business in May, 1997. We are a 1950's style Diner that features good food, good service, and fun. If you've been here, you know what we mean. If you haven't been here, please give us a try! We are Dennis and Coni Cavanaugh and we built, own, and operate the Mesa 5 & Diner. We aren't a conglomerate, no offshore accounts, no partners, just us. We live right here in Arizona, have for fifteen years. We are both originally from Ohio and have moved around a bit before we settled in Arizona. We are both products of the 1950's. We don't live in the past, but we relish that era. Look around our web site if you have a few minutes. We encourage you to sign up for special email offers. Some of our offers will only be be available on the web site and by email. We are launching a new menu concurrent with the launch of this web site. You can view the menu from the web site. We have some great new items and the old favorites. The Serendipity section of the web site will have some fun and interesting things that we found when we weren't looking for them. Our local heroes section is just that. People and institutions that make this community what it is and what it will be in the future. We will be taking pictures and maybe even videos of our customers and putting those up on the web site.
